It began with a little girl, a mother who never left her side, and five words no one in the room would ever forget.

Our daughter, Faith, entered the world facing challenges no child should have to endure. She spent nearly six months in the NICU and went on to confront medical obstacle after medical obstacle. Through every frightening moment, difficult procedure, uncertain answer, and hard-won victory, the reality of what our family was facing became undeniable.

Through it all, her mother never left her side. She became the constant presence in a room full of uncertainty, carrying the emotional weight of a diagnosis while shielding her child with unwavering love and quiet endurance.

Years later, Faith was interviewed by news reporter Cheryl Preheim about her courage, resilience, and everything she had overcome. During a separate part of the interview, Cheryl asked Faith about her mother.

“MY MOMMY IS STRONGER THAN A MOUNTAIN.”

Faith’s answer was simple, completely unplanned, and unforgettable. Those words stopped Cheryl and the camera crew in their tracks. Here was a young girl who had already endured more than many people experience in a lifetime, yet when asked about strength, she saw it in the mother who had stood beside her through every moment.

The story was later shared publicly, received national recognition, and earned an Emmy. But that moment became more than a treasured family memory. It became the beginning of Stronger Than a Mountain.

The name is not a slogan created by a marketing team. It represents the kind of strength that does not always announce itself, the strength that stays, carries, fights, protects, hopes, and continues forward when giving up would be understandable. This brand was created to honor that kind of strength in every person.

Faith is the heart and soul behind Stronger Than a Mountain.

She is a living example of courage that cannot be measured by what she has endured alone. Faith has faced more pain, uncertainty, hospital rooms, procedures, and frightening moments than anyone should ever have to experience, yet her life represents something even greater than survival. She represents strength with a heartbeat.

Faith is brave, but not because she is never afraid. She is brave because she continues through moments that would bring most people to their knees. She is resilient, but she is also tender, deeply loved, and beautifully human. Her strength does not mean that the hard days do not hurt. It means those hard days have never been powerful enough to erase her light.

She is the inspiration behind Stronger Than a Mountain because mountains symbolize endurance, but Faith’s courage goes even further. Mountains stand because they have no choice. Faith keeps rising despite everything that has tried to knock her down.

Faith is not defined by her medical journey, her surgeries, or the battles she has fought.

She is defined by her spirit, her value, her love, and the extraordinary impact she has made simply by being herself. She has taught everyone around her that strength can be quiet, courage can have tears, and even the smallest person can carry a power greater than a mountain.

Michael Solomon is the steady strength behind our family and one of the hearts behind A Contagious Smile. He is Faith’s devoted father, my husband, my protector, and the rock who has remained beside me through moments that would have tested even the strongest love.

Michael is a United States military veteran, a former law enforcement officer, a survivor, a peer support specialist, and an advocate. His life has been rooted in service.

He understands how much courage it takes to ask for help and how powerful it can be to have someone beside you who truly understands.

Michael is the man who helped teach me that love does not have to hurt. It can be safe. It can be patient. It can stay.

After everything I survived, he did not ask me to hide my scars or become someone easier to love. He embraced the whole of me. He has stood beside me through surgeries, medical uncertainty, advocacy battles, exhaustion, fear, and the enormous responsibility of building something meaningful from everything our family has endured.

As Faith’s father, Michael is her protector, champion, source of laughter, and safe place. He does not merely admire her strength from a distance. He walks beside her through the difficult days, celebrates every victory, and reminds her that she is far more than any diagnosis, procedure, or obstacle she has faced. He is proof that real strength is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like a husband who refuses to leave, a father who never stops showing up, and a man who carries the people he loves without ever making them feel like a burden.

Michael is not simply my husband or Faith’s father. He is our shelter in the storm, our strength when ours is exhausted, and the rock upon which so much of our family’s healing has been built.

Victoria Cuore is Faith’s mother, Michael Solomon’s wife, and the voice behind Stronger Than a Mountain. A survivor, advocate, author, podcast host, and founder of A Contagious Smile and A Contagious Smile Academy, she transformed unimaginable pain into purpose.

Through A Contagious Smile, Victoria provides peer support, advocacy, educational resources, podcasts, scholarships, community, and hope for survivors, caregivers, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and special needs families.

As Faith’s mother, she has remained beside her through every medical crisis, advocating fiercely and ensuring her daughter’s extraordinary courage is always seen.

If Faith is the inspiration and Michael is the foundation, Victoria is the voice carrying their message of strength and hope into the world.
